Are you looking for a great place to live in Hackney? We have a large, bright double room available at the front of our lovely house on Penpoll Road - a quiet back street, just north of London Fields and Broadway Market, and handy for buses and Overground services.
The room has stripped wooden floors, bay windows and lots of light, and comes with a double bed. The rest of the house is cheery, recently renovated and split over three levels - with one bathroom, large shared kitchen and reception, and a garden. There's also another small shared room which doubles as a reading room and guest room.
You'll be sharing with Lucille (who makes costumes for TV), Glynn (who runs a specialist beer bar at Borough Market) and me (who starts organisations as a way to avoid finishing books).
It's a great location on a quiet but convenient road: safe to walk home at night, two blocks from London Fields park, 5 mins to the supermarket, 10 mins walk to the Lido and Broadway Market. Hackney Central station is five minutes away, and it's not much further to London Fields Overground (which takes you into Liverpool Street in less than 10 mins). There are lots of buses at all times of day and night (38, 242, 55, 254, 106 and more) and Shoreditch is walkable.
The rent is is �600 per month plus bills; "bills" work out at about 85/month and include wireless internet, a cleaner who comes twice a month and the usual utilities.
