On the record

When I started pulling together material for this site, I found there was a huge amount from 2008 or so onwards - and a lot less before that.

It's partly because the work I've done has been attracting more attention - hence the interviews and articles in this section - but it's mostly because, at a certain point, we became the media.

Cheap, good recording equipment and free video sharing websites have redirected the flow of information. And so I've ended up with hours of video and audio produced by friends, collaborators or people who just happened to be there.

There are also thousands of photographs of my projects from 2009 onwards, created by the tireless Andy Broomfield, who appointed himself archivist to the Institute for Collapsonomics. You can explore the full collection at Andy's Flickr account.
